The Full Story

About FA

FA was born out of the recognition that traditional recovery spaces often fell short in providing the inclusive and non-judgmental environment that individuals struggling with addiction truly needed. Many of us have experienced the stigma and shame associated with addiction, feeling as though we couldn't speak openly about our struggles without fear of judgment.

That's why FA was created as an all-inclusive space for recovery. We wanted to ensure that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, felt welcomed and supported. In FA, there are no barriers or prejudices—just a safe and welcoming community where individuals can openly share their experiences and receive support from others who understand.

We believe that everyone deserves a chance at recovery, and that's why we've worked tirelessly to create a space where all are welcome. Whether you're struggling with addiction yourself or seeking support for a loved one, FA is here for you. Our doors are open to anyone, anywhere, who is ready to take the first step towards healing and recovery.

"Strength comes not from avoiding our struggles, but from facing them head-on, together, in the fellowship of recovery."

Mission

"At Fentanyl Anonymous, our mission is to provide a sanctuary of support and empowerment for individuals grappling with addiction to Fentanyl, opioids, and other substances. As a nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive community where every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, is embraced with compassion and understanding. Through our unwavering commitment to empathy, acceptance, and non-judgment, we aim to empower individuals on their journey to recovery, equipping them with the tools, resources, and camaraderie needed to navigate the challenges ahead. Together, we strive to create a world where the shackles of addiction are replaced with bonds of resilience, hope, and renewed purpose."

Why we call ourselves "FA"

"Fentanyl Anonymous" was chosen as the name for our organization due to the pervasive presence of fentanyl in the drug scene. Fentanyl has become a common adulterant, present in approximately 70% of illicit drugs. Its widespread presence poses a significant risk to individuals, regardless of their level of drug use.

The name "Anonymous" reflects our commitment to providing a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals struggling with addiction. Addiction does not discriminate based on socioeconomic status or background, and our organization aims to support anyone seeking help, regardless of their circumstances.

We have drawn inspiration from the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, particularly their 12 Steps, which have proven to be effective in guiding individuals towards recovery. Our goal is to offer a supportive environment where individuals can share their experiences and receive encouragement from others who understand their struggles.

In summary, Fentanyl Anonymous is dedicated to providing support and resources for individuals affected by addiction, with a focus on maintaining anonymity and fostering a sense of community among its members.

"We don't just find recovery; we find strength in our struggles, unity in our diversity, and hope in our shared journey towards healing."
